I remembered someone used to tell me this, and like always I failed to understand what it means actually. Not long ago, somehow I finally understand what it means and repented.

My personal opinion :

(Pardon, its in Chinese form as my English standard is not very good haha...)

因为往往当你爱自己多过去爱别人时，受伤时并不会感到特别的痛。而当你去爱别人多过自己而又被他人所伤害时，你会发现那种痛是无法用任何言语来形容的。最终荒废的只不过是用来伤愈的时间和对他人的想念的折磨，而那又何必？我已经在自己的觉悟中领会到这一种感觉，所以慢慢的我也从伤愈中复合。(:
